Maude

Co-founder

Co-founder of Aventure Rose des vents, Maude has been rooted on the north shore of the fjord since 2014. She never gets tired of exploring the territory, whether by kayak or skis, and of learning all kinds of things about the fjord.

Maude is passionate about everything related to water in all its forms. She collects rocks, important or not, and always seems to linger around the inn, even when her shift is over.

At Aventure Rose des vents, you’ll see her in a kayak, on skis, behind the bar, in the kitchen, or behind the computer. In short, you’ll run into her just about everywhere!

Kim

Co-founder

Co-founder of Aventure Rose des vents, Kim is fully committed to this project, which aims to offer a unique tourism experience in harmony with nature and local values.

Originally from the Laurentians, she has been well established for over ten years in the Saguenay region, on the shores of the fjord—a territory she deeply cherishes and wishes to share with all visitors.

Passionate about outdoor activities, especially all forms of skiing (Nordic, alpine, cross-country, and ski touring), Kim is also a great fan of cultural events and alternative venues that she enjoys discovering and promoting.

Étienne

Cook

Based in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord for nearly 10 years, Étienne arrived almost at the same time as the inn. Passionate about cooking, lacto-fermentation, and community political action through food, he dreamed from his arrival in the village of a food service offering at the inn, which came to life in 2022.

Outside of work, you’ll find him in the garden, at a board game table, or on a volleyball, soccer, or ultimate frisbee field (or at the local skating rink when the weather allows!). If you want to make him happy, talk to him about your favorite obscure music band.

Alex

Guide and innkeeper

Alex first discovered the inn and Sainte-Rose while working there for the first time in the summer of 2018, while studying adventure tourism in Gaspé. After several varied work experiences, he returned to his roots in 2023 to work at Aventure Rose des vents.

Passionate about the territory and backcountry skiing, Alex spends his winters getting lost in the forests surrounding Sainte-Rose, then returns in full force during the warm season to work at the bar or guide kayaking trips.

Eli

Innkeeper

Having lived in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord since 2020, Eli spends her free time drawing dragons, watching birds, and listening to the same song on repeat. She also enjoys Nordic skiing, hiking, and bike camping. You can also find her on the ball field playing hockey, volleyball, or ultimate frisbee with friends.

Passionate about children’s literature, Eli works as the coordinator of the municipal library. She won’t say it too loudly because she is shy, but she is also an author and illustrator. Eli joined the inn team in June 2025.

Marie-Julie

Guide and Innkeeper

Marie-Julie has been working at the lodge since the winter of 2025. She has a keen interest in the arts, culture, and the boreal regions, which she explores on skis and in a canoe. At the inn, you’ll find her behind the bar or paddling through the waters of the fjord. If you see her, whatever you do, don’t offer her olives—she hates them even more than heat waves.

This summer, you can check out her photo exhibition at the lodge, where she documents a 30-day canoe expedition down the Mushuau Shipu (George River) that took place in the summer of 2025.

Claudie Anne

Innkeeper

Claudie Anne moved to Saguenay in 2022. She joined the team in the fall of 2024. She loves board games, backcountry skiing, and laughing with her friends!

A biologist by profession, she has a keen interest in wild plants. Her favorite is evergreen corydalis (Capnoides sempervirens). Previously, her favorite plant was Cape impatiens (Impatiens capensis). Despite being a biologist, Claudie Anne continues to work with us because she simply loves it too much to leave.

A great music lover, she took charge of the cultural aspect of the inn starting last winter.

Elizabeth

Guide

New to the Saguenay region, Elizabeth is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in outdoor studies at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. She is passionate about the outdoors and nature in general, and loves long hikes.

This summer, you’re more likely to find her in a kayak, as her interests extend far beyond hiking. Fascinated by the boreal forest, she is always eager to learn more about the region and its biodiversity.
